HELM Corporation was formed in 1990 and has maintained its proud record as a leading professional consultancy house in the UK. HELM provides consultancy services in business and management, finance and accountancy and information systems to the public sector on a national and international basis.
HELM retains an Information Systems and Technology Consultancy Division as a core part of its structure. This division has been involved in consultancy, at all levels within the Public Sector over many years, both nationally and internationally. We are highly experienced in helping the public sector in dealing with the growth in electronic government - in particular enabling the UK Government's 'Modernising Government' initiative and the Republic of Ireland's 'Information Society' agenda.
The Information Technology and Systems Division carries out a range of core consultancy activities.
The Senior Managers of HELM's Information Systems and Technology Consultancy Division are Members of the British Computer Society, Member of the Information Systems Audit and Control Association and The Institute of Internal Auditors.
Statement of Capability
HELM provides ERP Consultancy and Advice on a range of issues including change management, ERP implementation , organisation impact studies, etc.
We run our projects using PRINCE 2 to ensure appropriate communication, approval and control processes and structures. An example of our approach to ERP assignments can be detailed as follows:

Recent relevant experience includes:
The provision of Activities Reporting and Information E System (ARIES) and associated services required by the Department for International Development. The scope of the project is to provide a replacement Management Information System (MIS) code and to rationalise the underlying IT systems to meet DFID's financial, procurement, reporting and performance management needs for the foreseeable future - taking account of the many external factors influencing the development.
HELM has been commissioned by Northamptonshire County Council to manage the procurement process for the provision of a managed service for its payroll, financial, procurement and CRM systems.
HELM were appointed as client side project managers of an ERP solution to support the financial and procurement back office business processes of the Department of Justice, Equality and Law Reform and its sponsored agencies the Police, Prison Service and the Courts Service. The ERP solution was based in Oracle 11i and was deployed in a Departmental Shared Services Centre.
